The telecoms tribunal has overturned a government 
ban on pacts between carriers that allow them to provide 3G services 
beyond their licensed zones - a decision that will help the firms expand
 high-speed data services faster and cut their capital expenditure. The
 cost of purchasing 3G airwaves in a 2010 auction was so high that no 
single carrier won a nationwide permit. Bharti Airtel Ltd, Vodafone and 
Idea Cellular Ltd, currently the country's top three carriers, entered 
into pacts with each other to provide 3G services beyond their licensed 
zones. The telecoms ministry then banned the pacts, saying they enabled the companies to offer 3G services without buying permits. The
 reasoning behind the tribunal's decision was not immediately known. A 
detailed judgement is expected later on Tuesday. In 2012, it had given a
 split verdict on an appeal by the carriers and last year the Supreme 
Court asked the companies to not add new 3G customers as the case 
continued.   
We are very pleased with 
ruling, & said Rajan Mathews, director general of 
the Cellular Operators Association of India. Now
 that the legal matter has been cleared up, we are hoping that the 
government will allow us to go forward on this without any appeal to the
 Supreme Court or anything. The telecoms 
ministry will make a decision on whether to challenge the decision in 
the Supreme Courtafter analysing the tribunal's order, Maneesha Dhir, a 
lawyer for the government, told Reuters. India's telecoms 
carriers began launching 3G in 2011 and the premium services currently 
account for about 4 percent of their revenue. But 3G revenue is growing 
more than 70 percent annually, much faster than the dominant voice 
services, according to Naveen Kulkarni, a telecoms analyst at 
PhillipCapital. This is a significant 
long-term positive, helps in faster data growth and also reduces the 
long-term capex requirement,he said. <img src="http://stech2.firstpost.com/tech2images/640x359/proportional/jpeg/2014/01/telecom-624x351.jpg" /> Telecom
 operator Reliance Communications today announced a tripartite agreement
 with Tata Teleservices and Aircel to provide 3G roaming services to 
each others customers using their network across country. RCom and Aircel have permits for 3G services in 13 out of 22 service areas while Tata Teleservices has permit in 9 circles. “We
 are delighted to be the first operator to offer 3G national roaming to 
our customers in partnership with other telecom firms having 
state-of-the-art 3G networks. “These alliances will further 
consolidate RCom’s position as the leading data operator in the country 
and will help the Company improve its post-paid and Corporate customer 
market share,” RCom’s Chief Executive Officer for Consumer Business, 
Gurdeep Singh, said in a statement. RCom circles comprise Delhi,
 Mumbai, Kolkata, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, 
Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Assam, North East, Jammu & Kashmir. With this agreement, 
RCom gets access to 5 uncommon service areas – Andhra Pradesh, 
Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and UP East where Aircel has presence. Its
 agreement with TTSL gives it access to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana 
and UP west. So again we can see 3g roaming among idea airtel voda in coming days

1: Install a file manager in your android phone, Goto Android market and search for file manager and install anyone.

2: Open the file manager and goto the folder which you want to hide. 
(If you want tohide certain specific files, the put them in a folder).

3: Rename the folder starting with “.” Example: If you want to hide the “videos” folder, then rename the folder to “.videos”.

4: You are done, ANdroid gallery and video player won’t recognize 
that folder anymore. If you want to unhide it, then rename the folder 
and remove the “.” (dot).

What Are private and Public IP

Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are usually of two types: Public and Private.
 If you have ever wondered to know what is the difference between a 
public and a private IP address, then you are at the right place. In 
this post I will try to explain the difference between a public and a 
private IP addres in layman’s terms so that it becomes simple and easy 
to understand<img alt="smile" border="0" height="20" id="id_1" src="http://s18.postimg.org/tywlkpobp/smile.gif?noCache=1395143896" width="20" />.

What are Public IP Addresses?

A public IP address is assigned to every computer that connects to 
the Internet where each IP is unique. Hence there cannot exist two 
computers with the same public IP address all over the Internet. 
This addressing scheme makes it possible for the computers to “find each
 other” online and exchange information. User has no control over the IP
 address (public) that is assigned to the computer. The public IP 
address is assigned to the computer by the Internet Service Provider as 
soon as the computer is connected to the Internet gateway.A public IP 
address can be either static or dynamic.
 A static public IP address does not change and is used primarily for 
hosting webpages or services on the Internet. On the other hand a 
dynamic public IP address is chosen from a pool of available addresses 
and changes each time one connects to the Internet. Most Internet users 
will only have a dynamic IP assigned to their computer which goes off 
when the computer is disconnected from the Internet. Thus when it is 
re-connected it gets a new IP.You can check your public IP address by 
visiting <a href="http://www.whatismyip.com/">www.whatismyip.com</a><img alt="thumbsup" border="0" height="20" id="id_1" src="http://s23.postimg.org/reiocqx2f/thumbsup.gif?noCache=1395144013" width="29" />.

What are Private IP Addresses?

An IP address is considered private if the IP number falls within one
 of the IP address ranges reserved for private networks such as a Local 
Area Network (LAN). The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has 
reserved the following three blocks of the IP address space for 
private networks (local networks):

10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255 (Total Addresses: 16,777,216)172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255 (Total Addresses: 1,048,576)192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255 (Total Addresses: 65,536)

Private IP addresses are used for numbering the computers in a 
private network including home, school and business LANs in airports and
 hotels which makes it possible for the computers in the network to 
communicate with each other. Say for example, if a network X consists of 10 computers each of them can be given an IP starting from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.10. Unlike
 the public IP, the administrator of the private network is free to 
assign an IP address of his own choice (provided the IP number falls in 
the private IP address range as mentioned above).

Devices with private IP addresses cannot connect directly to the 
Internet. Likewise, computers outside the local network cannot connect 
directly to a device with a private IP. It is possible to interconnect 
two private networks with the help of a router or a similar device that 
supports Network Address Translation.

If the private network is connected to the Internet (through an 
Internet connection via ISP) then each computer will have a private IP 
as well as a public IP. Private IP is used for communication within the 
network where as the public IP is used for communication over the 
Internet. Most Internet users with a DSL/ADSL connection will have both a
 private as well as a public IP. You can know your private IP by typing ipconfig command
 in the command prompt. The number that you see against “IPV4 Address:” 
is your private IP which in most cases will be 192.168.1.1 or 
192.168.1.2. Unlike the public IP, private IP addresses are always 
static in nature.Unlike what most people assume, a private IP is neither
 the one which is impossible to trace (just like the private telephone 
number) nor the one reserved for stealth Internet usage. In reality 
there is no public IP address that is impossible to trace since the 
protocol itself is designed for transperancy.

technologies reroute your computers network internet connection and 
change your IP address they do work in slightly different ways and the 
products co-exist as customer compatibility with either or both may vary

Think of a proxy server as a kind of filter, in simple terms the 
proxy settings are applied to your chosen internet browser (i.e. 
Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox etc).  Then when browsing web pages 
they are routed to you via the proxy with all the benefits associated 
with the proxy server (i.e. security, speed, geographic location etc). 

 

 

Unlike a proxy, which only secures the internet browser or software 
application with the proxy data entered into it, VPN (Virtual Private 
Network) encrypted tunnelling encrypts all your internet access, 
effectively replacing your local ISP routing 100% for all applications 
with all the benefits associated with the VPN server (i.e. security, 
speed, geographic location etc).  VPN can easily be connected or 
disconnected with a click on a desktop icon. 

 

 

In conclusion a proxy is purely browser based and has less 
compatibility with certain websites that use non-browser technology 
(i.e. Zattoo, View TV, 4OD, Sky Player, FOX OD etc); whereas VPN will 
work with all internet based services but offers less choice on which 
applications you route through the external server; as with VPN 
everything is routed whilst you are connected to it.
